Crabbe, Brown & James is excited to announce that Partner Robert Buchbinder has been named as a board member of the Lincoln Theatre. The Lincoln Theatre is a state-of-the-art performing arts and education center that first opened in 1928. It lies at the heart of Columbus’ King-Lincoln District, a historically African-American district. The Lincoln Theatre has been at the center of the community since the 1930s, when jazz became a major attraction, all the way through the 1960s. The Lincoln Theatre has hosted 1,750 performances since its 2009 reopening including renounced performers like Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, and Etta James. Today, the Lincoln Theatre serves as a historic landmark theatre, a place for local talent to grow and thrive, and a presenter of artists from around the world.
Rob is an active member of Columbus’ art community. He is proud to help support artists locally and internationally at this local landmark of African-American and jazz history. Prior to the Lincoln Theatre, Rob served as a board member of the King Art Complex since 2011, where he helped support the institution’s engagement with central Ohio through performing, cultural, and educational art programs.
