Crabbe, Brown and James, LLP, Managing Partner Larry James, and his wife, Donna James, were honored on May 14, 2022, at the CAPA Gala Celebration. Mr. and Mrs. James were recognized for their extraordinary leadership, commitment, and contributions to support the arts community in Central Ohio. They have been influential advocates for many African-American artists. In fact, their contribution to the community spans over thirty years. Additionally, they have served on a multitude of governing and advisory boards for local arts organizations. Mr. and Mrs. James played a key role in hosting the largest community celebration for the Harlem Renaissance 100th anniversary. It is clear that art is an important part of their lives and they continue to share their time and talent with the community. This video explains the continuing impact that Mr. and Mrs. James have on Columbus’ arts community.

The 2022 CAPA Gala, CAPA’s annual fundraising event, was co-chaired by Benita and Lewis Smoot Jr. The event had performances from local artists and was headlined by the Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and SAG-nominated performer, Norm Lewis.

We are proud to support Mr. and Mrs. James’ commitment to creating opportunities for artists in Central Ohio.
